Trade digital assets — with a desk behind you.

OTC and Spot execution with a real trading team.

Open account

Digital assets are volatile. Trading involves risk, including loss of principal; past performance does not indicate future results.

At a glance

Abra's institutional trading desk provides OTC execution, algorithmic order types and access to multiple liquidity providers across major digital assets. It is built for hedge funds, family offices, corporate treasuries and registered investment advisers that need to move large blocks with limited market impact. Trades settle into the client's own separately managed account held at Fireblocks Trust Company, LLC.

How it works

From order to custody.

Execution with a desk — in four steps.

  1. Fund your account

Fund in USD or crypto — no minimum to begin.

  2. Choose OTC or Spot

Spot for everyday size; OTC for large or sensitive orders.

  3. Execute

    Trade across 100+ assets.

  4. Settle to custody

Assets settle into segregated, separately managed accounts.

How does Abra's OTC trading work?

You tell the desk what you want to buy or sell, the size and any timing constraints. The desk sources pricing from several liquidity providers and comes back with a firm quote or a working order. On acceptance, Abra executes and settles the trade into your separately managed account. You never hand assets to a house wallet, and Abra does not rehypothecate client assets.

Supported assets include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and major US dollar stablecoins, with others available on request. Typical block sizes and settlement timelines are confirmed in writing before your first trade. Pricing is disclosed as a spread or a fee under the engagement terms. Execution quality is not guaranteed and market conditions affect fills.

What algorithmic trading strategies are available?

For orders that should be worked over time rather than crossed in one block, the desk offers time-weighted average price (TWAP), volume-weighted average price (VWAP) and participation-rate algorithms, plus limit and stop parameters that you set. Each order runs against the same multi-venue liquidity and settles into your account.

Algorithms reduce the footprint of a large order. They do not remove market risk or guarantee a particular price. You receive a post-trade report showing fills, average price and venue breakdown so your own team can evaluate execution.

Who uses Abra's trading desk?

Family offices rebalancing a digital asset sleeve. Corporate treasurers moving between cash, stablecoins and Bitcoin under a board policy. Independent RIAs executing across many client accounts at once. Institutional allocators entering or exiting a position over days rather than minutes. The common thread is size that would move the screen on a retail exchange and a need for settlement into a segregated account.

Many clients pair trading with another Abra product: buying Bitcoin and placing it in a yield strategy, or selling a portion and drawing a crypto-backed loan instead. The desk works with your adviser so the pieces fit together.

Who runs the trading desk?

The trading desk described on this page is run by Abra Capital Management, LP, an SEC-registered investment adviser. You open a separately managed account titled to you, the account is held segregated at Fireblocks Trust Company, LLC with Fireblocks MPC key management, Abra instructs the strategy under an advisory agreement, and you receive statements that show positions, transfers and accruals. Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training. Eligibility, minimums and fees are set in the advisory agreement rather than on this page, and an adviser walks you through account opening before anything is instructed.

Which execution methods does Abra support?

Abra supports three execution methods today, and which one fits depends on the size of the order, how much price certainty you need and whether you want the desk to work it for you. Managed execution means the Abra Capital Management desk works the order inside your advisory account, choosing venues and order types on your behalf. Spot execution is a direct exchange of one asset for another at the price available now. Over-the-counter execution is a firm quote for a block, sourced from several liquidity providers, so a large order does not move the visible market against you.

Options are not supported today and may follow. If you are not sure which method applies to an order, tell the desk the asset, the approximate size and any timing constraint and they will tell you which route they would use and why.

  • Managed execution: the Abra Capital Management desk works the order inside your advisory account.
  • Spot: a direct exchange of one asset for another at the price available now.
  • Over-the-counter: a firm quote for an institutional-size block, sourced from several liquidity providers.

Digital assets are volatile and can lose value quickly. Prices, spreads, and liquidity change with market conditions, and execution is not guaranteed at any particular price. Past performance does not indicate future results. Nothing here is investment advice.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Over 100 digital assets, including major and emerging tokens. Availability can vary by jurisdiction and eligibility.

Spot is best for everyday order sizes on-screen. OTC (over-the-counter) is for large or sensitive orders, where the desk sources liquidity to minimize market impact and slippage.

Pricing reflects live market conditions and order size. Larger orders are typically routed through the desk. Full terms are provided before you trade.

Assets settle into segregated, separately managed accounts held in your name — not commingled on an exchange balance sheet.

The desk is designed for institutional-size orders. The current minimum is confirmed when your account is set up. Orders below that size can usually be handled through your advisory account rather than the desk. If you are unsure whether your order qualifies, contact the desk with the asset and approximate size and they will tell you which route applies.

The desk covers Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and major US dollar stablecoins as standard. Additional assets can be quoted on request, subject to liquidity, custody support and compliance approval. Every asset traded must be supportable in your separately managed account held at Fireblocks Trust Company, LLC. Ask the desk for the current supported list before planning a trade in a less common asset.

Trades settle into your own separately managed account, held at Fireblocks Trust Company, LLC with Fireblocks MPC key management. Abra does not use an omnibus wallet and does not rehypothecate client assets. Settlement timing depends on the asset and counterparties involved; the desk confirms the timeline before execution. Post-trade reports show fills, venue and settlement details.
