Nicole Trudeau is Chief Legal Officer of Abra, where she leads legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and governance for the firm's businesses, including its SEC-registered investment adviser. She has spent nearly two decades building legal and compliance functions at the intersection of securities regulation and financial technology, previously serving as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Wave Digital Assets, an SEC-registered adviser spanning digital asset venture, fund, and private wealth strategies, and as Director of Crypto and International Legal at Robinhood, where she launched the company's European crypto platform and secured the foundational digital asset licenses supporting it. Earlier, she served as General Counsel of CEX.IO, a global cryptocurrency exchange, and Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of Saturna Capital, a registered investment adviser and broker-dealer, where she oversaw legal, compliance, and corporate governance as a member of the executive team. She began her career at K&L Gates, where she was elected partner, and later practiced as counsel at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. She holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
